The 29-year-old victim's name had not been released pending next-of-kin notification.

Jorge Santiago-Garcia was charged with murder and two weapons possession violations, Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer said on Tuesday.

Lakewood police responded to a business on 2nd Avenue after multiple 9-1-1 calls on Monday about a stabbing, Billhimer said.

Officers found the 29-year-old victim with a stab wound to his chest, according to Billhimer.

Photos taken on Monday near the crime scene were posted online here by The Lakewood Scoop.

Medical units took the stabbing victim to Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune City, he said.

Lifesaving efforts were unsuccessful, and he was pronounced dead, the prosecutor said.

Santiago-Garcia was arrested and was being held in the Ocean County Jail pending a detention hearing.

Billhimer thanked the Lakewood Township patrol officers and detectives; his office's Major Crime and High Tech Crime units; and the Ocean County Sheriff’s Office for their help in the investigation and arrest.
